Vintage Writing Bureau Desk, Painted In a Rustic Neutral Greige with Floral Details

This vintage bureau has some lovely original shapely details, with 3 handy storage drawers and a drop down desk, complete with lots of useful cubby holes. We have given this a makeover to enhance all of those lovely details. Starting with a farmhouse green base coat, which is followed by layers of French Linen, the perfect greige (grey beige). Distressed to show layers from underneath and to give it a rustic feel. We have then applied a beautiful floral transfer to the desk lid and drawer fronts, complete with butterflies and dragonflies, making this piece pretty and unique. To seal and protect, we have used a flat clear coat, followed by a grey wax around the edges to add age and dimension. Finally, the interior has been painted in the farmhouse green shade, with more of the transfer applied to the writing pad area.
