This tall French provincial chest of drawers has been painted in a dark plum purple, with a textured effect. The side panels have been stencilled with a damask design, and then the whole piece has been waxed with clear and black wax for added depth. The original handles have been thoroughly cleaned and we have enhanced the gold with gilding wax.
